Your curious kids will love this collection full of fascinating people that will astound and inspire them! These will be great as a stand-alone supplement for your kids that need or want more to learn about, or while used in conjunction with your regular science or history curriculum. Each resource has a good amount of quality videos, too, which are helpful for pre-readers as well as dyslexic kids and others that struggle with reading. We have found these resources invaluable for quick, safe research for papers and projects as well!

George Washington Carver…because he came from litre and did great things!
Johannes Gutenberg. The Gutenberg Printing Press! Amazing!
I think I may have posted the scientist on the inventor page…or the other way around! Either way I think we would enjoy George Washington Carver since we will study Missouri history next year and the National Park is about an hour from us!
Oh, wow, so many! I would have to say Tesla, because my son’s heard about the new engines they’re making and really interested in it. homeschooldreams@gmail.com
Tesla!!!
Tesla because the only tidbit that comes to mind is the band with the same name. 🙂
would love this….not sure which inventor i would pick as a favorite as I don’t know enough about them, but am looking forward to learning more about them with my son if I win.
I loved learning about George Washington Carver as a kid. Can’t wait to share the love with my kids!
I didn’t realize that the giveaway was different for the Great Scientist and the Inventors. I have to particular one that we are interested in studying, because we want to study them all.
I would say DaVinci because of the wide variety of things he invented… he had a very brilliant mind!
I may have posted the inventor on the science page. My daughters would like to know more about Henry Ford.
Tesla or da Vinci…how could I choose between the two? 🙂
This is a really hard choice! But I would probably go with Samuel F.B. Morse as he’s not someone we’ve previously learnt about. It would also be a great resource for using with my Scout Group (I’m the Group Leader, Joey Scout Leader & Cub Scout Leader)!
This looks like a blast. My boys love inventions. Anything new that we can add to our eclectic learning style, that they love, will go over well.
I’d have to choose Jacque Cousteau simply because undersea exploration both intrigues and terrifies me.
Archimedes sounds really interesting!
Inventors!! No, Scientist!! Either one works for me!
Tesla, because he is one we rarely hear about.
Henry Ford, we live in Michigan and have great locations to visit as a tie in!
Tesla
TE8LA! A great way to get my kids more interested in science!
Thomas Edison because he invented so many amazing things!
George Washington Carver. He’s always been interesting to me.
We had our Blue and Gold Banquet last night. I was the hostess and the theme was science! lol I could have really used the scientist collection this week, couldn’t I? Oh well! Cub Scouts has a science belt loop and our WEBELOS can earn a scientist activity pin too! So, I’m sure either the scientist or the Inventor collection would be absolutely wonderful to help the boys earn their badges. I’ll have to further look into the collections now.
Famous Inventors Collection–Love, love, love to learn about what inspires people and drives them to come up with new inventions! Thanks!
I think the inventors would be neat but not sure I can pick one over another to study about. EEk!
Tesla because you don’t hear as much about him. My son is also very interested in electricity.
Nikola Tesla, I find him to be very interesting in his inventions and also his rivalries between other inventers.
Nikola Tesla is fascinating
Probably Alexander Graham Bell since we live near the homestead and would like to visit (with background information!) one day.
We have a few resources to help teach about Alexander Graham Bell and I would love to utilize the website to deepen the study. I haven’t spent much time on inventors and feel it is time to start studying them.
All of them…
Great Scientists Collection
Love to know that the Inventors were an option two girls one big world with many many inventions yet to be conceived. Its Inventors for us thank you again!
the Wright Brothers
da Vinci!!!!!!!!!!!!
George Washington Carver because he went to Iowa State, my alma matter.
We are obsessed with Thomas Edison because of the breadth of the inventions we’ve learned he came up with since we’ve been studying the great inventors…but also because we know he was persistent and an out of the box learner. My scholar and I both always want to read anything we can find about him!
Henry Ford or Thomas Alva Edison. (Love them both!!!)
My son adores science but has a learning disability so it would be incredibly inspirational to learn about Einstein, who also struggled at school.
Henry Ford because my sons are fascinated by early transportation vehicles.
drkkali@aol.com
Da Vinci or Carver, both amazingly brilliant and diverse men, but really, they all are!
we had talked about Archimedes a little last year so I think we would start with him.
Leonardo da Vinci
I have just known him as an artist. I would love to learn about his life as inventor!
I like the great scientists because there is women in there. mommystuck1(at)optonline(dot)net

Oh that’s a tough one. The girls would want Marie Curie. Hubby is a physicist so really there are so many that we want to expose them to.
We recently looked at Thomas Edison and I’d love to learn more about him! He didn’t give up!
The Wright Brothers. We’re in NC, and we want to learn about our state’s history!
We would love Nikola Tesla. We were reading about his inventions of the phone earlier that was created earlier than Graham Bell, but the information was lost. Quite interesting!
DaVinci — what an extraordinary man
I’d really love to learn more about all of the inventors in the Famous Inventors collection. I have always been fascinated by George Washington Carver, though.
Tesla because you don’t read about him as often.
Any of them. My general knowledge is so poor in this area I will be learning along with the kids!
