Looks like another wonderful resource.
My two youngest use McGuffey for copywork. It definitely helps with spelling, punctuation, and penmanship.
no copy work yet
my kids do Copywork as part of their language arts. I’m debating whether to get them a 100% Copywork book each next year
This would be a welcome addition to my reluctant readers, as they grow into more meaningful writing.
Both my boys do copy work from any book they happen to be reading.
We have done copywork in the past, and I am wanting to make it a part of our schooling again.
My 10 year old daughter does cursive copywork. We have been working through scriptures and it would be fun to have some quotes as well.
My 6-year-old does daily copywork for his penmanship practice. Most sentences are still above his reading level but it still helps him with spacing, letter formation, and understanding punctuation.
Both my children do copywork. Some of the benefits are spelling, handwriting, sentence structure etc. It took me a while to understand why copywork is so important.
My kids have done copywork in the past, but I have not included it this year. My daughter is doing very well with her writing, but my youngest could still use the practice. This would be great for him!

My daughter does copy work because it’s a great way to practice penmanship and to be exposed to famous quotes.
Yes my kiddos do regular Copywork (currently the Aesop’s Fables copywork book from Homeschooling Downunder, another great website). It’s far more interesting than simply doing handwriting books. It is also great to co-ordinate it with the current subjects we’re studying (we’re studying Fables at the moment) so that they can soak the subject in that little bit further. I also like to get them to read the page/s back to me after they’ve completed it.
We have the first 6 presidents copy work I would love the other 6!
Copy work is a staple of the Charlotte Mason method and very helpful for my son. Right now I let him choose a passage from the bible or Shakespeare. I find it helps with focus, memorization of the passage and handwriting. We use very short passages so it is enjoyable never busy work.
My kids are teens, so they do copywork semi-routinely. This keeps their letter formation good and also helps them with memorization tasks.
We do copywork, and I feel it really helps get things into my son’s memory and improves his handwriting. Right now, I pull from our McGuffey’s Primer for his copywork or find an interesting fact about a bug.
We don’t do much currently due to tears, but it needs to happen regardless. 🙂
No copy work yet… BUT I know the benefits are huge! We better get on it! 🙂
My kids do copy work on a weekly basis and I do see an improvement of neatness of their handwriting.
Love the different styles offered.
Haven’t done copy work before but willing to try new things.:)
We do copy work…well we did copywork until Christmas….I usually make my own pages and have gotten a little behind…
We do copy work as often as I think of it. I wish it were more of a routine for all of them, but I’m pretty consistent with my 9-11 yr. olds. I think it is a great way to make sentence become consistent, but also it solidifies spelling and factual information!
Yes, they are currently doing copy work out of the Bible…they are getting familiar with scripture and we count it as handwriting too!
No organized copywork, but we write letters, and take notes for science. I’ll write it and she’ll copy.
We have done some copywork. I want to start including it more as a way to cover more varied topics and hopefully make the information stick a bit more than just discussion in class from a book.
My kids have done copywork in the past (they are grown now) and I do it with my mom who has Parkinson’s now (she was a teacher many years ago)
My children are in 2nd and 3rd they are definitely working on their own style and still keeping to the true manuscript of writing. No lines ares used therefore they are able to strengthen and enhance their skills.

We do some copy work not a lot. Mostly Bible verses Right now
My child does do regular copywork. The benefits of this practice are that it cultivates the habits of attention and excellent work, my scholar takes note of spelling, punctuation, and also internalizes and immediately begins using rich language that a connection is formed with during the process of copying the piece.
do not do copy work yet and we are ready to start!
Love copywork for keeping the kids busy when I need a break!
Yes we do. I feel that it helps greatly with fine motor skills, memorizing items for reciting, learning the information, being able to read what they wrote, and because the art of writing is an art form that should not be forgotten.

We do copy work a few times a week in both their science and language curriculum. My boys especially seem to need as far as handwriting but it is also a great way to memorize scripture (or learn something, as in your copy work, love it!)
My 8-yr-old daughter does regular copywork. It helps her keep good penmanship. Every time we take a break her handwriting begins to look sloppy overall.
My children loves copy work. It is like they learn better with the writing
We do not do regular copywork yet but it is something I’m trying to figure out how to work more into our routine. Gives them something to also do while I’m working with a sister on something else. And we need to practice handwriting.
Yes, my daughter does. The best benefit I believe is that she was able to learn proper sentence structure and form without even knowing it as evident by what she writes.
we do copy work for handwriting purposes as well as to learn how to imitate good writing.
I’ve done copywork with all of my children starting from the beginning (the alphabet!) Such a valuable practice. We’ve done pretty much no other writing instruction or handwriting until high school, and my kids can write and spell great.
Yes! I started using the Charlotte Mason Method with my 11-year-old, so he has been doing copywork this year. His handwriting and attention to detail has improved. He is also more focused (because he does not want to have to re-do it!)
