Typical Americans learn a lot about our own country, but little about the countries that border ours. Thanks to the education my children are receiving, I now know all the provinces and major geographical spots in Canada. But Mexico? I know even less. Like….I know that Mexico is there…. And I know that some folks take what look to be wonderful vacations there. And I think once when I was a kid my dad went there on a business trip and came home with some bracelets that he got from an open air market…..and that’s about it.
How do we let this happen? Good gravy! Thanks to the new Mexico: Coloring Book and Geography Study, we can do better than that! (like, I just learned that Mexico has 32 states! I’m sorry to say that before today I didn’t even know that Mexico *had* states. At all. Derp.)
Recommended for grades 3-6, this downloadable, reproducible study will give you and your kids a good introduction and overview of the geography of Mexico while using the notebooking skills you love! One thing that I think is super cool is that you can also get an all-Spanish version of this resource, so you can reinforce the Spanish language with your kids, if you are studying it, or even go all Nathaniel Bowditch on the thing and compare the two languages side-by-side! Â What a great opportunity!

You can also get some free printables just in time for Cinco de Mayo, which, crazy as it seems, is coming right up! Â (Hint-hint: Â If you go get the freebies, you *might* just find that you get a coupon for the Geography of Mexico products!)
