Earth Day

**This post includes my affiliate link for Educents.**

Earth Day is coming up on April 22!  Will you and your family be doing anything to celebrate or participate in any way?  For many years my children and I have enjoyed going to our local Earth Day Festival where we enjoyed learning so much about the ecology of our local area, had fun with recycled creations, and shopped yard sales til our heart’s content.  🙂

Educents has a bunch of fun freebies available for you and your kiddos that are perfect for Earth Day, so I wanted to share those with you.

If you aren’t already familiar with Educents, you should definitely head over and create an account and get a FREE $10 credit that you can use anywhere on their site!  (You can even use it to get $10 off of your purchase at the Enrichment Studies storefront that’s over there!  Click here to check that out.)

From the True Confessions of Math Misery Files today

True confessions of math misery

*Why True Confessions? Because we’ve all been there and it helps to know we aren’t alone. (And if you haven’t? Well, good for you. Your turn is coming. lol We’ll keep the lights on for ya.)

Me: “How is it that you can’t do 48 minus 30?”

kid: “Because 48 is bigger than 30.”
Me: “Yes, it has to be. If you had 48 dollars and I took 30 away, how many dollars would be left?

kid: -staring-

Me: “If you had 48 pieces of cake and I ate 30 of them, how many pieces of would be left?”

kid: -staring-

Me: “If I had just 48 brain cells left, and then I lost 30 of them while trying to do math with you, how many brain cells would I have left?”

kid: “Ha ha ha. Very funny.” (finally writes answer on paper)

Got any True Confessions to share today?  It’s Go Time.
