My friends, the time has come for me to say goodbye,
After 13 years of creating art and music resources for fellow homeschoolers, I am ready for a change. My children are all grown. The marriages and grandbabies keep coming. I find myself ready for new challenges, and knew that I wanted Enrichment Studies to carry on with someone that I know has the knowledge and passion to take it further.
I contacted Gena Mayo of Music in Our Homeschool when I thought I was ready to make this change. I have known Gena as an online friend since she started her terrific site, and we even got to meet in person once at a conference in 2017! (photo to the left) Gena has done such a great job with the music appreciation programs she creates, and I always knew that when the time came, Gena would be the perfect person to take over what I started here.
Gena is a veteran homeschool mom of 8 children, and has been teaching music for over 30 years. She has a Bachelors degree in Music Education and a Masters degree in Vocal Pedagogy. She loves teaching elementary and junior high choir, high school voice lessons, private voice lessons for teens through adults, early childhood music, music appreciation for elementary through high school, and serving as musical director for stage musicals.
Gena has been helping homeschoolers provide their children with a quality music education at Music in Our Homeschool, where she offers a terrific array of click-and-go, no prep online courses for all ages. In short, you are going to LOVE the ways Gena is going to continue to grow Enrichment Studies. I feel extremely confident that I am leaving you in good hands.
Thank you for being a part of Enrichment Studies, and for welcoming the products I’ve created into your home. It has been so heartwarming to hear from so many of you over the years, and to learn some of the ways that your family has benefitted from my work. I wish you the very best, and want you to know that YES, eventually the kids will be grown and you will retire from homeschooling and get to explore the question of “what’s next?” for you.
From the heart,
Erica

Last month I was able to attend a wonderful gathering for homeschooling moms that are also bloggers and business owners. One of the many fun things about this event is that I came home with lots of SWAG goodies that I will be giving away to you, my darlings, over the next several months. (Woot! Woot! You should see the huge stash of wonderful homeschooling stuff I have waiting here for you!)
This week I’ve decided to give away some fun stuff from one of my favorite sites that I’m an affiliate for. One lucky winner will get this cute zippered tote bag from Schoolhouse Teachers, along with two print editions of The Old Schoolhouse magazine. For those of you that remember the good old days when TOS was in print regularly, you know that to get your hands on an actual print edition these days is pretty special since they now mostly produce the magazine digitally. I’m happy to report that I’ve got the Summer 2017 edition as well as the 2017 Annual Print Book here to send to one lucky winner, along with the tote bag!
I decided to do this giveaway right now to celebrate the awesome sale that’s going on right now at Schoolhouse Teachers!
In case you aren’t familiar, Schoolhouse Teachers is a membership site that offers over 300 full courses for preK-12, PLUS classes for parents as well! Not only that, but members also get access to World Book Tools, too. You can enjoy core classes like math, science, history, and foreign languages, PLUS get to add on fun electives like art, music, public speaking, drama, and more, all for one low cost for your entire family! It’s a terrific deal for homeschool families.
Right now you can get a new two year membership for the price of one, PLUS lock in that half price rate after your two years is done! The sale is going from now through Friday 11/17/17, so jump on over there to check that out.
Everybody that takes advantage of this awesome BOGO sale will also get a free tote from Schoolhouse Teachers, so if you don’t win the one I’m giving away, all is not lost. 🙂 But hey–it never hurts to have another tote bag when you’re headed to the library or Aldi, amiright?
THIS GIVEAWAY HAS ENDED and the winner has been contacted. Thank you!
