Learn the Pledge of Allegiance: FREE with coupon code PLEDGE (regularly $5)
One Week mini unit study! Start when you want
When you were a kid you probably learned the Pledge of Allegiance by reciting it at the start of each school day. But for our homeschooled kiddos in a more relaxed home atmosphere, this probably isn’t happening.
I can recall years ago being in public and realizing (much to my chagrin) that my kids didn’t know the pledge. Eek! How embarrassing!
Well, that doesn’t have to be your fate. I’ve put together a quick, easy, and fun one week program that will help your kids learn the pledge, and you can start it anytime you’re ready for it.
For 5 days you’ll get an email with links to youtube videos that in just 5-6 minutes will teach your children:
-the pledge in a variety of ways (traditional recitation, song, American sign language)
-the history of the pledge
-the meaning of the pledge
-social etiquette for reciting the pledge in public
You’ll also get a downloadable penmanship and copywork ebook (print, cursive, and D’Nealian styles provided) to help reinforce the words while also getting some writing practice, AND an American flag coloring page.

Well, both girls became very excited when we saw two Matisse prints hanging in our local public library. (Fine Arts pages by Matisse happen to be hanging in the upstairs bathroom right now.) I reminded the girls that the artist was Matisse. And then my 4-year old (who is always interested in the titles of the paintings) said to me, “I know what that painting there is called,” and she paused. “Dessert: Harmony in Red,” she said correctly. The library security guard standing nearby nearly fell over, she was so surprised. 🙂
Anyhow, I just wanted to thank you for helping expose my family to Fine Arts — you have truly enriched our lives, and it’s making a difference in our learning.
