Do you have wiggly kids that need somewhere to direct all that amazing energy?
Would your kids enjoy taking dance classes, without the high scheduling pressures of traditional dance schools, OR the high price tag?
YouDance is an awesome, homeschool family-friendly solution to all of these needs!
Founded by a second generation homeschooler, YouDance provides a safe and wholesome environment for families to learn to dance at home! Yes, you can enjoy these classes without ads, pop-ups, or coarse language, and without any questionable or inappropriate movements. Instead your kids get to build confidence, strength, and coordination as they learn and experience the art of dance.
A YouDance subscription gives your entire family unlimited, on-demand access to a growing library of over 1,000 dance class videos, including Hip Hop, Ballet, Contemporary, Clogging and Jazz. There are courses especially for little ones, beginner through advanced levels, and even videos you can follow along with if you want to dance for exercise and fun. There are so many videos that will serve every member of your family!
I tried out YouDance with my 3 year old grandson, and he just loved the Kids Intro to Jazz, which combined things like learning to spell Jazz, reviewing left and right, some good basic stretch motions, and then onto fun stuff like learning to do jazz hands and a simple little dance. It was perfect for his age and attention span since it kept his attention and moved from one activity to another pretty quickly. I’ve included a little clip of him in this video review I did:
I also love it that YouDance allows you to learn in the privacy of your own home. I have always loved dance, but at my age and fitness level (ah-hem) I do not think I would have the confidence to go to a class in public. With YouDance I can experience the learning curve of dance all by myself without any witnesses, and that’s worth a lot! 🙂 hahahaha
You can login to your YouDance account anytime that it suits you, and all lessons are designed to be done with regular household supplies, making it easy to enjoy every class.
YouDance offers a FREE 14-day trial so you can try it out with the whole family and see how much fun it is. When you decide to join, use discount code enrichmentstudies22 to get 50% off the annual membership, OR 20% off the monthly membership. YouDance would make an awesome family gift for Christmas, and will be a welcome addition to the cold winter months when you need fresh and fun new things going on without having to venture outside. This discount code will be valid through the rest of 2022.
YouDance provided me with free access to their program for the purposes of reviewing their service, and sponsored this blog post and video. As always, my honest opinion is reflected here.
After our wonderful giveaway last month for the membership to The Online Ballet Studio, I decided it was time to explore ballet in art. It has certainly been an enduring and popular subject in art, and this collection includes 20 pieces from Degas, Renoir, Macke, Repin, Manet, Metcalf, and Somov. Not only are these pieces often very beautiful, but you’ll get to see different styles and approaches to depicting dance. (candid or portrait style? monochromatic color scheme, or pops of color? figure study or snapshot of the culture?)
Right now you can get this collection for FREE when you join our Subscriber Perks Membership! (which is also free!) Click here to get yours now.
Many years ago when my daughter Haley was a little tot, she loved to twirl and dance like a little ballerina. She had gone to some local ballet classes, one of which was only temporary, the other of which became too far for us to travel to after we moved. With a growing tribe of little ones and a limited budget, combined with a location that had no nearby dance classes, I was at a loss for what to do for her, until I found some delightful instructional videos for little girls. Perfect! From there she was able to pop a video into the VCR and take her ballet class anytime she wanted. What a relief to find such a practical and lovely solution to our need!
Fast forward to today, and we have modern options that are much greater than what we had all those years ago. The Online Ballet Studio offers quality video lessons and tutorials for young dancers, ages 5-12 years of age. This outreach of the Brunswick School of Dance in Australia offers your child technical training and ballet lessons at your convenience! New lessons are added to the membership each month, and you can login and take a class anytime you like.
Even better–your child will get an official uniform sent to them when they enroll, no matter where you live! (Boy and girl uniforms are available and they even include shoes!) Can you imagine how delighted your little dancer will be to receive their ballet outfit in the mail and find out that they can now take ballet lessons from the comfort of home? AWESOME!
Children that attend dance class but would enjoy more practice at home
Families that live too far from a quality ballet school, or for whom dance classes are beyond their budget
Children that are very shy or struggle in social settings, but thrive with home learning
Instructor Josephine Woodberry has 20 years of experience in teaching ballet. Her Online Ballet Studio classes offer many benefits:
Promotes strength, flexibility, and agility
Develops an understanding of music and rhythm
Boosts concentration
Generates a love of movement
Improves coordination, posture, and balance
Features beautiful music and real children demonstrating the movements
Complimentary uniform when you join!
The Online Ballet Studio costs just $69.95 AU (which is around $50 US) for six months of unlimited lessons, which is a HUGE BARGAIN, especially considering that your child will get a complete uniform mailed to them as well! WOW! Definitely a win for all families that want to encourage creativity, the arts, and physical fitness into their homes. You can even try it FREE for a week to see how great it is!
“These guys are amazing! Matilda diligently practices of her own accord and on her own impulse multiple times a week. The program has opened up the world of dance to us in a way that we need in this season of life… From home… Plus, the free uniform is PURPLE! Could they have done more to pull her in!”
~Elizabeth (Mother)
“Congratulations. It’s beautiful! I like very much your selection of what to focus on. Of course, there’s a million things you could make videos on but you’ve honed in on the fundamentals. I’m really glad that you’ve created this. It’s an excellent initiative.”
~Helen (RAD RTS Ballet Teacher)
“Being out in the country, you really need to grab every opportunity you can. These kids don’t have a lot of exposure to the things big city kids take for granted. I don’t know how to quantify how much it means to Eloise and the family.”
~Sue (Grandmother)
“Just a quick email to thank you so much for the ballet at home leotard set which you sent for my daughter. She was delighted to receive it this morning. She has used your online classes already and has enjoyed them so much! They are a wonderful idea and I hope you will have many subscribers. What an amazing way to bring your wonderful teaching to so many children around the world!”
~Charlotte (Mother)
“I think the classes are really fun because I learn all sorts of fun stuff and because I really love all the moves and they are pretty.”
Wow! Have you ever seen this beautiful sport/art form? This is a new one for me, although apparently it has been around for awhile. How lovely. And how inspirational that there are always new ways for art and beauty to come forward in the world! Safe to share with the kiddos. Gather ’round!
Welcome to my blog. It’s so nice to meet you!
