Today’s Make Over Your Mornings* course video talked about breaking down goals into bite-sized pieces. I know from experience that this is the thing I most need to do, and for some reason I tend to resist it. It sounds great to say, “I am going to tackle this project!” but once I start scheduling it out and see how it is going to need to get done bit by bit…..that’s actually where I start to feel overwhelmed. “How will I get all of this done?!” “I don’t have time to deal with that today!” And…yeah….that’s why I don’t meet a lot of my goals. (in fact, don’t even set a lot of concrete goals…..which also needs to change!)
All in all, I feel like the goal setting aspect of this course is going to be big for me, because, I’m sorry to say, I have been too comfy being mediocre about too many things for too long…..and it ain’t pretty neither!
Crystal’s workbook with step-by-step instructions, additional recommended resources, and helpful reminders is really great. I’m enjoying it.
Would you like to join me and other women as we work through the Make Over Your Mornings* course together? The course is super affordable and you can enroll in it here*. I have set up a Facebook group which is, of course, totally free and is meant to be an opportunity to get and share support and encouragement with other women! Maybe some of the steps in this course will be obvious for you, but I think many of them actually start to uncover nitty gritty areas of weakness or where we lack clarity, and sometimes brainstorming with others can be really helpful for finding a breakthrough!
We will start actively discussing the Make Over Your Mornings* course in the Facebook group on Monday, July 13, and will keep at it for about a month. You can join the group now, enroll in the class now, and even take a quick go-through of it before we start to discuss it. And if you are finding out about this after July 13, that’s ok. Just jump in and benefit from the experience others have had! If there is enough interest, maybe we can run another group later on.

I don’t know anybody that doesn’t appreciate the awesomeness of Lego. This video tells the inspirational story of the Lego company. This movie is so well-done, and demonstrates so many positive character traits, business-mindedness, problem-solving, family loyalty, and more. You will be glad you shared this with your kiddos!
And Bravo to the Lego Story team for having a great sense of humor, too. Check this out:
I love this beautiful cover of Story of My Life by The Piano Guys! Not only is it musically excellent, but I love the way they tell the story with their video. Gather Round the kids and enjoy!
Did you know that 50 years, to the day!, after signing The Declaration of Independence, two of the USA’s Founding Fathers died within a few hours of each other? This is a moving story, and you can read more about it here.
Doing the research for our U.S. Presidents collections was very moving for me. Of course I was familiar with the names and some things about each of our early presidents, but I had never learned so much about the vision, character, and steadfastness of these men who served our county in the early years until I got to do this research and track down these resources myself. True, they were not perfect men, and I’m sure they had many flaws that we could all discuss. However, just as is true of many heroes throughout the ages, flawed people can also usher forth great things. What an encouragement for you and me!
Woo hoo! July is our birthday month! It has been four years since we started Classical Composers Monthly with one little ole composer collection, and silly me, I thought that was all we would do. Ha. Ha ha. hahahahahahahahahaahaha! And so just like any baby, we grew and we grew and got bigger and more complex. 🙂 This year we launched this beautiful new site and changed our name to Enrichment Studies, to better communicate what we have to offer. And in July, we are celebrating!
1. Pop-Up Giveaways every day in July! That’s right. Every day this month I am randomly picking one of our social media channels/connection points to publicize a giveaway that four people will win. You will want to be following us on all of these so you have the best chance of winning:
And don’t forget to check this blog daily because you never know if I might slip a giveaway code into a blog post!
2. Back to Homeschool Facebook Party on July 21! Our last party was a blast, and this one is going to be even better! We will have fun, prizes, good stuff from some of my favorite homeschool businesses, and….an after-party DANCE PARTY!!! So, sign up for reminders so you don’t miss a thing, and invite your friends, too, because it’s gonna be fast and fun. 🙂
